Bullet Journal Setup April 2018

(Nederlands hieronder)

I have some sad news for you: this month I haven’t filmed my Bullet Journal setup for April.

At the end of March I had to work during the weekend, I celebrated my birthday and the next weekend it was Easter. Busy times, so I couldn’t find the right time to set up my camera and take time to draw it all out in one go.

And also I was a little uninspired for a theme for April, so I decided to go minimal. I wanted to set up just the bare minimum and add some simple decorations. But in the end I added some nice fonts & used my new gold ink for some lines and letters here and there. I couldn’t not use it, I’m sure you’ll understand once you see the shimmer of it in the pictures below. It’s so so pretty!

Yes yes, I hear you thinking: Enough talking, show me some pictures of your journal.

Well, let’s go.

Bullet Journal Weekly Log
I’m trying out a new layout for my weekly log, but I’m not entirely happy with it this way. Next week I’ll try a different setup.

I’m really happy with the looks of this ‘minimalist deluxe’ layout. It’s spacious, but still decorative. Maybe I’ll have it like this more often. We’ll see how I feel about it at the end of this month.

Also, I haven’t made a front page for this month yet. I might still make one and then I’ll share it on my Instagram @madetocelebrate. Follow me there!

Dus let’s go!

Creative to-do’s for my own enjoyment

Now that I have a lot of more free time than before (see this post fort he reason why), I started thinking of the things I wanted to do.

What creative projects and DIY’s would I like to make, just because I like it. What new techniques would I want to learn, just because it’s something I’d enjoy them.

No more focus whether a project is good enough to be published on the blog. No more wondering if it would be something my readers would like. I think that this focus is unhealthy (for me and the blog) and will only lead to non-inspirational and more rational blog posts.

So now that I dropped all (self-made) obligations that come with blogging, I started brainstorming things that I’d like to do, make and create just for me. Because I like it and it will be a great thing to do in my free time.

April Diary

April is always such a lovely month.

The sun starts shining, the blanket of clouds break up and there’s even days of a nearly perfect blue sky. Such a joy!

Oh, and have you seen the blossoming trees? So unbelievably beautiful! To me that’s the moment that Spring really starts.

And now I’m waiting for the tree in front of my window to grow it’s leaves. I’ve been wanting to see it evolve for the past two years now, but both times I happened to be on holiday exactly the week that it decided to give birth to those pretty new leaves.

With patience I’ve gone through April, but I really enjoyed the weather. Although the last weeks of April it got pretty cold here, it even snowed in some places. Bizarre!

Besides enjoying nature, I’ve also worked hard at my internship and on my webshop. Three new buntings are added: denim coloured bunting, ochre yellow coloured bunting and new baby girl bunting with three colours!

This was my April:

London in 48 hours – My Favourites City Guide

If you have never been to London, you really need to go there.

At least for a short citytrip, just to see for yourself what so many people love dearly. And if you have been to London before, you should go again! Because there’s always something new to discover and experience. I’ve been in London for a total of 17 days now (yes, keeping track) and I can’t wait to go there again. There are still quite a few things on my ‘London To-Do List’.

From the times I’ve been there, I’ve distilled a list of where I would go if I only had 48 hours to discover London. I’ll show you around London and show you the things I think one needs to see when in London. All the best highlights and the most beautiful places to see, some shops to go to and streets to walk.

For pretty much all the places we’ll visit that require an entrance ticket, it is advised to buy a ticket online. Not only does this save time standing in line (except for the London Eye), but it usually also saves a few Pounds.

On a side note: this guide assumes you have a full 48 hours at your disposal. So probably it’s best to arrive the evening before ‘day 1’ and go back home the morning after ‘day 2’. A shorter trip is of course possible, but then I’m sure you’ll feel the need to come back again. Although I think most people feel like they have to come back again anyways.

Let’s get this journey started. And where to start better than with a full English breakfast. Continue reading London in 48 hours – My Favourites City Guide

March Diary

Hmm, March was a pretty effective month I think.

I especially focussed on the shop: all the item information and visuals have been updated, I have worked on marketing and today and Saturday two new banners will be added to the shop.

Besides that there was my internship that kept going, although I couldn’t do that many practical things for that.

And we had a festivity: my 29th birthday! This was during the Easter weekend, so it was a nice combination meeting family and friends and being grateful. A time to relax and fun, to re-energise and enjoy the little signs of Spring making it’s way here.

All together March was a good month and here’s some pictures that proof it. 🙂 Continue reading March Diary
